A representative of the CIS ATC took part in the interdepartmental conference on "Priority areas of scientific research of problems of security of the Russian Federation", organized by the FSB Research Center jointly with the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Moscow on November 15, 2024.
The event was attended by representatives of scientific and educational organizations of law enforcement agencies and special services, think tanks and civil society institutions.
During the conference, the participants reviewed promising areas of scientific research in the field of security, forecasting of the development of security threats, including in the information sphere.
The Center’s representative presented a report "On the approach to formulation of promising topics of scientific research in the field of countering terrorism and extremism." He noted that the problem of developing methods for identifying and forecasting promising areas of scientific research is an important component of the process of shaping a national scientific policy. This requires use of new principles for organizing scientific activity, consisting of the revision of management processes and combination of research technologies used by universities and laboratories.
