The head of the legal support group of the CIS ATC took part in the International scientific-practical conference on "Problems of legal regulation of interaction of border agencies of the CIS member-states in the field of combating trans-border crime", held under the auspices of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops in Minsk on October 30, 2024.
The event was attended by the representatives of:
public authorities of the Republic of Belarus, border agencies, veterans' associations, scientific and educational organizations of the Commonwealth countries;
CIS bodies and their working structures (Executive Committee, Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, Council of the Commanders of the Border Forces and its Coordinating Service, CIS Anti-Terrorism Center);
SCO Regional Anti-terrorism Structure.
At the conference participants examined theoretical and applied aspects of international legal and national regulation of interaction between border and other agencies in the field of combating trans-border crime. Special attention was paid to training of specialized specialists and scientific support for activities in the interests of strengthening CIS external border security.
The CIS ATC’s representative presented a report on “Theoretical and applied problems of legal regulation of activities in the field of countering terrorism in the border area.”
In conclusion of the conference, the participants noted the need to develop new forms and methods of countering modern threats, as well as to prepare scientifically based proposals for amending the international and domestic legal acts of the CIS member-states.
