The CIS Anti-Terrorism Center’s delegation led by its Head Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev took part in the International Science to Practice Conference on «Academic Partnership – Cooperation Without Borders” organized by the Academy of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and dedicated to the Academy’s 50th anniversary, in Almaty on October 10-11, 2024.
The event was attended by the heads of educational organizations of the competent authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, representatives of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS, CARICC and CIS ATC.
The conference offered an opportunity to exchange national experience in organizing educational, methodological and scientific activities, and discuss directions for the development of joint work.
The Head of the CIS ATC informed the participants about the Center’s activities in providing assistance in training officers of anti-terrorist units of the special services of the Commonwealth countries and improving scientific research activities in the field of countering terrorism and extremism.
In conclusion of the conference, the participants expressed interest in further strengthening academic partnership.
