The CIS ATC’s delegation led by the Center’s Head Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev took part in the International Science-to-Practice Conference on “Theory and Practices of International, Regional and National Security” organized by the National Security Academy of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk on June 4, 2024.
The event was also attended by the representatives of executives of the special services, public authorities, scientific and educational organizations of the Republic of Belarus and CIS Executive Committee.
In his statement Evgeny Sysoev briefed the participants of the terrorist threats topical for the CIS area, trends of their development and results of practical cooperation of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth states in their neutralization. Besides, the Center’s representative, secretary of the Scientific and Advisory Council at CIS ATC presented a report on “Activities of the CIS competent authorities in preventing terrorist and extremist crimes among minors and young people” at the plenary meeting of the conference.
On the margins of the conference, for the purpose of further development of their cooperation in the scientific field, the CIS ATC and Belarus State Security Committee signed a package of documents covering joint research on coordination and cooperation of the CIS competent authorities in the information counteraction to terrorism and extremism in the Commonwealth.
