The Head of CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Evgeny Sysoev held a meeting with the executives and teaching staff of the Public Administration Academy at the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe on May 29, 2024.
In his statement the Center’s Head informed the participants of the history of founding and evolution of the CIS ATC, its main lines of activities and measures taken to improve efficiency of cooperation with the CIS competent authorities.
Besides, the Center’s Head assessed the terrorism and extremism situation in the Commonwealth and impact of the international terrorist organizations operating in Afghanistan.
Evgeny Sysoev paid special attention to the consolidation of anti-terrorism efforts of the CIS and SCO having noted a substantial contribution of SCO ex-Secretary General R. Alimov, who currently serves as a professor in the Academy, to the development of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, including its Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure.
