The CIS ATC’s delegation led by Deputy Head Sergey Zubkov took part in the International Military Practical Conference “On Organization and Conduct of Air Defense Under Systematic and Massive Impact of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles of Variable Types” held in the Military Academy of Air-Space Defense named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov in Tver on February 29, 2024.
The event was also attended by the Air Defense leadership of 7 states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), Secretariat of CIS Defense Ministers’ Council, representatives of the CSTO Joint Headquarters, military-industrial complex enterprises, scientists and teaching staff of the academy.
The conference reviewed development of tactics of UAV employment during military conflicts and organization of Air Defense troops’ system counteraction to UAVs of variable types.
Much attention was paid to methods of protection of critical and civil infrastructure against UAVs.
The conference participants highlighted the importance of strengthening and developing the CIS AD Joint System and activities of the AD Coordinating committee at the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council.
