The CIS ATC’s delegation led by its Head, Colonel General E.S. Sysoev, took part in the international science-to-practice conference on “Topical issues of improving preventive work with persons exposed to the terrorist ideology” organized by the Research Center of the Russian FSB on September 6, 2023 in Moscow
In his welcoming remarks the Head of the Center noted that the organization of preventive work in countering terrorism is of paramount importance for the prevention of this type of crime and is both an integral part of the state counter-terrorism system and a priority line of activity for the international organizations specializing in security issues.
The study of this dangerous phenomenon, which is global in nature, has not only theoretical significance, allowing us to identify the conditions and factors contributing to its occurrence and spread, but also practical significance allowing timely adjustment of the existing system of general and special measures undertaken by competent authorities and civil society institutions.
The Center representative made a report on the essence and content of contemporary terrorist ideology.
The conference participants discussed and approved Recommendations for improving preventive work with persons exposed to the terrorist ideology.
