A research-to-practice conference on “Aims and Tasks of the CIS Base Organization for Research of Terrorist and Extremist Manifestations Issues” organized by the Russian FSB’s Research Center was held in the CIS ATC’s headquarters on April 28, 2023.
The event was attended by the representatives of think tanks and educational institutions of the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as CIS ATC.
In his welcoming remarks the Head of CIS ATC E.S. Sysoev noted the established and progressively developing cooperation between the Center and the Base organization resting on exchange of expert opinions, mutual participation in the research-organizational events and preparation of analytical documents including joint assessment of the terrorist threats in the CIS area.
The event’s agenda included a presentation of the CIS ATC’s representative on the “Role of CIS ATC in improvement of scientific support to fight on terrorism in the CIS area” who informed about main lines of the Center’s activity in rendering scientific assistance to the CIS competent authorities in fight on terrorism and extremism, as well as prospects of development of cooperation with the Base organization.
