CIS ATC PARTICIPATED IN INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH-TO-PRACTICE CONFERENCE “ON APPROACHES TO CIS MEMBER-STATES’ INFORMATION POLICY IN THE FIELD OF BORDER SECURITY”

 

Deputy chair of the Scientific and Advisory Council at CIS ATC took part in the International Research-to-Practice Conference “On Approaches to CIS Member-States’ Policy in the Field of Border Security” organized by the Coordinating Service of the Council of Border Troops’ Commanders on March 28, 2023.
 

The event brought together representatives of:
 

7 border agencies (Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan);
 

6 bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Executive Committee, Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services, Anti-Terrorism Center, Office for Flight on Organized Crime and other Dangerous Types of Crime, Committee of Heads of Law-Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services and MIR Interstate Broadcasting Company);
 

research and educational organizations;
 

Secretariat of the Collective Security Treating Organization.
 

The conference reviewed a wide range of issues related to formation of the CIS information space and conceptual provisions of information cooperation of the CIS member-states in implementing coordinated border policy.
 

In his statement the deputy chair of the Scientific and Advisory Council at CIS ATC elaborated on the key aspects of conceptual-categorical apparatus, difficulty of identification, assessment and interpretation of the information space factors, noted the dominating factors which influence the organization and making of the information policy of the country under modern conditions.
