On 9 February 2016, the CIS ATC convened an International Conference on "Employment of Innovative Technologies and Special Munitions in Preventing and Suppressing Terrorist Acts, Legal Regulation of their Employment" at the Forum "Security and Safety Technologies".
The discussions focused on a number of practical issues related to countering terrorism on transport facilities as well as in the field of legal regulation of special munitions' employment to prevent and suppress terrorist acts.
The conference gathered representatives of the security agencies and special services of the CIS member-states, official representatives of special services of the Commonwealth states to the Russian Federation, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, Coordination Service of the Council of the Commanders of the Border Forces, Office for the Coordination of the Fight Against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime on the Territory of CIS member-states, Secretariat of the Council of the Ministers of Defense of the CIS Member-States, Interstate Aviation Committee, Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, National Anti-Terrorism Committee, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Federal Migration Service, Federal Customs Service, Federal Financial Monitoring Service, as well as representatives of the scientific community and enterprises (companies) involved in production of special equipment used in security sphere.
A wide range of participants allowed detailed discussion of the conference topics and demonstration of variable ways of improvement of the anti-terrorism technologies and employment of innovations in suppressing illegal activities.
